I don't know anyone who was closer with her Mom than you Pat. You two were like sisters, and a blessing to me. I was impressed by how your Mom made Sunday dinner so elegant, and beautiful. She was Southern hospitality incarnate, a real Lady. God bless and reward her in heaven and comfort you till we all meet again. Love to you Pat and your family.

Thank you Pat for letting the Burnsville High School students and teachers (3-from 1957 still living) know. As President of the 1957 Graduating Class, we all remember Mrs. Marie Dicus as a consumate professional of Home Economics and a wonderful person to be around. My only formal training on "table manners" came when the Vocational Agriculture boys were taught by Mrs. Dicus for two weeks. That training has served me well for 55 years and I still thank her.
